I am hoping in the next week to release super egg hunt 1.3. But I’m looking for any bugs or changes you might have found. The major update in this release will be new modes. What are new modes you ask? Well I’ve listed the possible modes below.
normal game:
standard game with eggs, chickens, clocks. The mode that has always been in the game.
survival mode
collect as many eggs, but once a chicken touches you, it’s game over. Every ten seconds, the chicken gets a little faster.
chicken coop
smaller grid, and more chickens
minute rush:
collect as many eggs in 60 seconds as possible. no chickens and no clocks.
classic
just eggs
Feel free to leave any comments you have.

There’s something coming to the LWorks site on friday. I wonder what it could be?
It’s not just the name of a song, and a quote from portal. it sums up what’s going on very well. In November, I took a full-time job working as a programmer. this esentially canceled out most if not all of the time I had for development. However, I am finding some time to still work on LWorks stuff. One of the things I have been setting up for is the removal of machine-based licensing. I plan to go to a system where the end user will have a user name, and a key. this deffinitly opens the door for piracy, and I’m aware of it. However, I am tired of having to replace unlock codes. And it’s not fair to make the end user wait for me to do this. with my full time job it is unrealistic that I can keep up with the amount of mail I get. It will also make it possible for me to sell at conventions and other events which I would love to attend in the future. I promise there will be updates soon, as well as an all new website. the website will be much more pleasing on the eyes as well as offer information in a much more organized fashion.
Stay tuned. I promise some great things this summer.
I’m still here and developing. I’ve been waiting for streamway to get released, and it looks like that day is getting really really close. As soon as streamway comes out, I’ll be releasing great toy robbery 1.2 and super egg hunt 1.2. I then plan on doing pigeon panic and lock pick and getting them converted. then.. I’m just not sure. Judgment day will be two years old in December, but I don’t see myself actually releasing any sort of updates just yet. I may finish off bar games, which I think would be fun. but.. I dunno. I still have the pieces to this hockey project sitting here, but even that doesn’t interest me. I hate having ADHD or some equivalent. gurrr. Anyways. Keep your eyes on the blog and the podcast. I’ll keep everyone posted.
I’ve spent the last week living and breatheing hockey. Hockey has always been one of those sports that I take great interest in. I’ve had the honor of meating the 04 05 Chicago Wolves team and getting my hat signed. I’ve also been able to speak to Tom Grace the Former broadcaster of the Triple A Farm team for the Penguins. I recently picked up a copy of NHL 08, and will buy 09 when it comes out next month. It really made me consider the possibility of a hockey game for the blind.
My main issue is how fast paced Hockey is. VIP Games Zone did a version of soccer which had some great concepts, but I believe in some ways, Ice hockey can be faster than soccer. So I thought instead of making it more difficult, I’d simplify it and create a shoot-out style game. You pick your team either the US or Canada, skate in, and try and shoot the puck past the goally. Of course there are a few things I like about this concept.
1. It would be fun.
2. It’s relatively simple to put together.
3. it would theoretically open up the possibility to a game you could play online. Connect to your friend, pick your team. and play for bragging rights.
Number 3 has me really excited, but my knowledge of anything socket-based is next to none. I’m not a programmer, I’m a designer. I can put things together, but the fancy stuff. I’m clueless. I also would love to get my hands on rink and goal dimensions and such. For all my interest in hockey, I’ve never stepped on to the ice before. I will have to somehow fix that this winter.
Growing up, I was always taught to never reinvent the wheel. Why do it if it has already been done? Simple. It’s practice. So. I’m going to reinvent the wheel and write tic-Tac-Toe. It’s a good exercise in patience, which is something I sorely lack. The twist comes in when I decide to add net support. Net play has always been a topic I’ve always glazed over. Liam Liam Liam. when you gonna make it so we can play online? Well my excuse was simple. I had no clue how. And this is embarrassing. While I wait for streamway to get finished, I figgure I’d try and broaden my programming horizons. and what a better way than to write an online playable game. Five bucks says it’s a disaster.
I can’t remember when, but I had my interested sparked in my motorola q that I’ve had for about a year. The Moto Q runs windows mobile, which means you can theoretically do neat stuff with it. One of which is write applications. Thanks to Louis over at braillesoft, I was introduced to a language that should let me put out some games that can be run on cell phones. I’m still familiarizing myself with the language, but hopefully I’ll post up a few games for people to play. And yes, they will be free. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, so I’m goign to take a few weeks, and see what interesting little things I can make.
So now running back and forth serving drinks can tire you out. if you run too much, you become winded and slow down severely. So.. don’t run too much. I’m looking at ways of distracting the customers for a much needed breather. I’l be also looking at actually working on real cut scenes for this game. and before anyone complains. no. the game like the rest of my games doesn’t take itself seriously. So expect some humor. there have been some complains that games like super liam are stupid because they quote unquote. don’t take themselves seriously. Well of course they don’t. Having to sit in the same recliner and code all day gets frustrating. I need some way to work off steam, so interjecting humor in to games really helps. Plus. It’s fun, and most people enjoy it. so Anyways. Off to go write a script and such.
the latest podcast presents me playing tgtr, as well as the new snazzy talking edditions to LWorks games. If you’re on Klango. Don’t forget to listen to the podcast, and rate it if you can. Hopefully we can move it up on the list of most played items.

four of four games hve been converted. Technically, pigeon panic and lockpick aren’t done as I haven’t exactly done everything. but I’m more or less waiting till release time to do a few last minute things. like score boards and stuff. the games work, they are stable, and that’s great. now it’s off to work on bar games. I have no idea which direction I want to take this game in at this point. so.. I’ll have to see.
