In super Egg Hunt it's your job to grab as many of the beeping Easter eggs as possible. Unfortunately, Mr. McChicken isn't too thrilled about you walking around and picking up his eggs. He'll chase after you and try and peck you away. your job is to pick up as many eggs in three minutes as possible. to help you, you can pick up clocks to give you more time and freze the chicken. You can also get a speed boost for a limitted amount of time by collecting enough eggs. when you've collected as many eggs as you can, you can then send your score to our scoreboard. Can you become number 1?

when you run Super Egg Hunt, you will hear an introduction sound, and then you will be presented with the Main menu. The options are as follows.
Super Egg Hunt contains 13 modes. 11 can be unlocked by purchasing and upgrading to super egg Hunt Plus. Though the gameplay is mostly similar, differences will be described below.
The basic gameplay works like this. When you select a mode, you will be given a countdown. When you hear the gun shot, it's time to start collecting eggs. Use your up down left and right arrow keys or a joystick to walk around the grid. If you like, you can also use your i k j and l keys. A handy key table is later in this manual.
any object that is in front of you will have a higher pitched sound as compared to an object behind you. your job is to center the sound you hear in the center of your headphones or speakers. When you walk close enough to it, you will automatically pick it up. You have three minutes to pick up as many eggs as possible. When the game is over, your score will be spoken. You will also be told if your score is a new local high score.
new to the game is boost mode. When you collect five eggs with in ten seconds you will gain super speed for a short amount of time. Collect eggs to keep your speed boost active. however, it is possible to lose your speed boost if you are pecked by Mr. McChicken. So be careful.
Once boost mode reaches three seconds, you will start to hear a warning tone each second until boost mode expires. When boost mode is activated, it will countdown from 8 seconds. No matter how many eggs you collect, you can not raise your boost time past eight seconds.
one of the most requested features has been for the ability to remove the chicken. If you want to collect eggs with out having to worry about a chicken chasing you. here's what to do. First, you will need to have boost mode activated. Then while boost mode is activated, collect a clock. If you can step on the square the chicken is standing on while both of these things are true, the chicken will be history.
Super Egg Hunt does not contain that many keys, but here they are including their alternate keys.
| Key: | Alternate: | Use: |
|---|
| Up Arrow | I | walk forwards |
| Down Arrow | K | Walk backwards |
| Left Arrow | J | Walk left| |
| Right Arrow | L | Walk right| |

If you have a joystick plugged in, you may use this to controll the game. Buttons 2 and 9 now work as enter, and 3 and 10 work as escape inside of menus.
Here are the things you'll encounter in the game, what they do, and how they effect you.
makes a short blip to let you know where it is. Pick it up for a point. Collect five eggs with in ten seconds to activate boost mode. Some game modes may not use boost mode, so make sure to read the modes section to find out more.
He's got feathers, a beak and he clucks. He's Mr. Mcchicken! Run away from this crazy bird or else he'll peck you and you'll appear on a random part of the game board. You will also incur a 15 second penalty each time you are pecked. Collect a clock to put this bird on ice for five seconds. The effects of clocks can stack making it possible to collect several and freze Mcchicken for a longer amount of time. McChicken may act different on some modes, so make sure to read the modes section later in this manual.
Makes a bell type tone. Step on this object to gain ten extra seconds, and a frozen chicken for five. They're great if you need to get McChicken off your tail. Remember that depending on the mode you are playing, clock may have an adverse effect.
Normal mode may get boring after a while, but there are plenty of other modes to play. they are described below.
Normal is your standard mode. Run around collecting eggs while avoiding the chicken. Clocks freeze the chicken and add time. this is one of two free modes.
Classic takes you back to the original Egg Hunt. Collect as many eggs as you can in three minutes. there are no obsticles, and no tricks. Just eggs. This is also a free mode..
run through a smaller grid collecting eggs and clocks. there are multiple chickens to deal with, but this is a fantastic way to rack up some easy chicken kills if you like.
How many eggs can you collect in a minute? You are given sixty seconds to collect as many eggs as possible. There are no chickens, and no clocks.
Survival has the same mechanics as normal, but with a catch. As soon as you are peck the game ends. Each second the chicken will become increasingly faster.
A mode similar to normal accept every twenty seconds the eggs and clocks on the grid will randomize.
This mode is like Mixup, but the randomizing happens twice as often.
This is normal, but on a faster scale. The time, chickens, and even your speed is faster.
Avoid clocks at all cost. Instead of adding time, they will subtract it. The chicken also does not like clocks being picked up and will speed up considerably.
How fast can you collect thirty eggs? Run around the grid collecting eggs as fast as possible.
It's a regular game of super Egg Hunt, accept backwards. All your movement directions are reversed. Can you overcome playing backwards?
How long can you keep a single boost mode going? Once it runs out, the game is over.
Not for the faint of heart. Expect hyper speed, reversed controlls, extra chickens, clocks that can either add or subtract time, and a huge time penalty for being pecked. Can you handle it?
Super Egg Hunt now contains an update feature which will allow you to receive automatic game updates. this feature is activated each time you start the program. If an update is found, you will be asked whether you want the setup downloaded and ran for you. If you choose no, the game will exit and you can go download and install on your own time.
Message of the day is also another new feature. if there is an announcement such as an update, or tournament, or game release, it will be posted as a message that automatically plays. You will only hear this message once, so don't worry. If you'd like to skip the message of the day, press escape while it is playing to head to the game.
After you play, why not submit your score for all to see? When you get a local high score, go to the main menu, and choose Send Score. You must be connected to the internet for this to work. If you're having internet troubles, or the server is down. Never fear. Your score will be saved for you, so you can come back and send it later. To view your scores, visit l-works.net and click on the scoreboards link and find the Super Egg Hunt link. As of version 1.2, only your highest score will be saved. So if you've played a game, and your score is lower than your local high score, it will not be saved, and you can not submit it.
